We send a confirmation link to the new address. Your sign-in email changes only when you open that link. We also tell the old address it changed, sign you out on other devices, and remove any Google or Microsoft sign-in linked under the old address.
Closing erases your name, email address and sign-in details, and signs you out everywhere. Payment and licence records are kept for the legal and accounting retention period. Nothing on your Gate Controller is touched and no running event is stopped.
